We frequently talk about typography here at WDL. Whether it be in web design or print design, typography plays a big part in making or breaking a design, especially if the design’s main focus is typography. In this post we are showcasing 30 typography focused logo designs. In these logos you won’t find any icons or symbols. It’s all about type.

A few weeks ago, we showcased web designs that made use of the color yellow. Along those same lines, this week we are focusing on another warm and bold color, one that definitely has lots of impact. This inspirational showcase is all about the color red. Red can have several meanings, and a few of them even contradict one another, such as love and anger. Despite how the color red is being used in a design, there is one thing for certain – it can definitely get people’s attention. So much in fact, that studies have shown red to cause a person’s respiration rate and blood pressure to increase. Notice how these 50 web designs use the power of red to strengthen their message.

A clean and minimal web design is an effective way to convey an image of elegance and sophistication. This type of design is all about doing more with less, and making use of plenty of white space to let content and page elements breathe. However, it can be difficult to come up with a solid minimal website, because you can’t rely on “shiny” design elements to make things visually appealing. So if you’ve struggled in the past to tackle this type of web design, we’re here to help. Here’s a showcase of 60 minimal and super clean web designs to inspire you.

A few weeks ago for our Monday inspiration I posted a collection of yellow web designs. So today, we’ll focus on it’s neighbor on the color wheel…green. Although some shades of green can be considered warm, it is a cool color that is primarily used for its calming attributes much like blue, and like blue, green is often associated with nature. With so much focus lately being put on the environment, we see green being used in this capacity, but it can also be used to signify jealousy and envy. Nevertheless, green can have many different meanings. So here are 50 green web designs to help you see how it’s being used, and to help you get some ideas of how you might use green in your next project.
